MASAI MARA, LAKE NAKURU AND LAKE NAIVASHA AND AMBOSELI

Day 1: Nairobi to Maasai Mara National Reserve

Pick up from your hotel or airport and drive to Maasai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch. After lunch, depart for an afternoon game viewing drive the Reserve in search of predator and sunset viewing.

Later, return back to the camp for a sumptuous buffet dinner ending with good time for resting. Masai Mara Reserve is the most popular tourism destination in Kenya. Located in the Great Rift Valley in primarily open grassland. Wildlife is most concentrated on the reserve’s western escarpment. Its regarded as the jewel of Kenya’s wildlife Viewing areas.

The annual wildebeest’s migration alone involves over 1.5 million animals arriving in July and departing in November. Hardly can a visitor miss to spot the big five. The phenomenal wildebeest migration which is a spectacular event only seen in Maasai mara is the wonder of the world.

Day 2: Full Day Game Drive in Masai Mara Reserve

Have breakfast at 6:30 am and at 7 am, leave for a full day game viewing in the park. On this day, Spend the full day exploring Masai Mara in search of the big five, hippos and Nile crocodile. Thereafter, go for a picnic lunch in park under a croton tree shade overlooking the vast landscape of the park.

Optional: In the evening, Visit the local Masai village for a Masai cultural tour at USD20. Learn about the Masai community and interact with the local Masai people.A balloon safari at USD 380 per person can be organised early morning on this day then proceed with the normal program.

It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna – lions, cheetahs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Day 3: Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru National Park

You will enjoy the last early morning game drive in Mara Reserve followed by breakfast. Thereafter commence the drive to Lake Nakuru National Park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, depart for game viewing in the park.

Dinner and overnight at either Lake Nakuru Lodge or Flamingo Hill Tented Camp 

Day 4: Lake Nakuru to Lake Naivasha/Hell’s Gate Park

Early morning game viewing in Lake Nakuru National Park. Later, have breakfast and thereafter check out and drive to Lake Naivasha for check in and lunch.

After lunch, you will go to hell’s gate for biking safari. if you are too tired you will be driven in the park with a car. You will later go for an hour boat ride on Lake Naivasha for bird watching and hippo viewing.

Dinner and overnight at either Lake Naivasha Sopa Lodge  or Sawela Lodge 

Day 5: Naivasha – Amboseli National Park

Pick up from the hotel in the morning drive to Amboseli national park which is famous for its scenery with a backdrop of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro, which dominates the landscape, and open plains.

Arrive with more game drive proceeding to your lodge for check in, time for lunch , Check in at the Lodge Ambsoeli have lunch and a short rest. Afternoon game drive in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro.

Dinner and overnight at either AA Lodge Amboseli or Sentrim Amboseli Lodge 

Day 6: Amboseli Full day

Early morning game drive later return back to lodge for breakfast. After breakfast Full day spend in the park with packed lunch in search of its popular residents like the well known predators and their opponents like the Zebra, Wildebeest, Giraffe, Hippo with a view of Mt Kilimanjaro .Later return to AA Lodge Amboseli for dinner and overnight stay.

Day 7: Amboseli to Tsavo East National Park

Have breakfast at 7.30 and leave at 8 a.m for a full day game drive in the Tsavo East National park arriving in time for lunch at the lodge. In the afternoon, proceed with the game in the park.

The park which is considered one of the world’s biodiversity strongholds, and its popularity is mostly due to the vast amounts of diverse wildlife that can be seen, including the famous ‘big five’ consisting of lion,black rhino, cape buffalo, elephant and leopard. The park is also home to a great variety of bird life such as the, crowned crane, black kite and the sacred ibis.

Tsavo East National Park is generally flat, with dry plains across which the Galana River flows. Other features include the Yatta Plateau and Lugard falls.

Dinner and overnight at either Voi wildlife lodge or Voi Safari Lodge 

Day 8: Tsavo East to Diani Beach

Breakfast at the lodge and thereafter, check out with picnic lunch and proceed to Diani arriving in the late evening with drop off at Baobab Beach Resort & Spa or Neptune Village Beach Resort 

Accommodation is on all inclusive meal plan.

Day 9 & 10: Relaxation at the beach hotel

Spend the day relaxing at the beach/swimming. Baobab Beach Resort & Spa or Neptune Village Beach Resort 

Accommodation is on all inclusive meal plan.

Day 11: Flight back to Nairobi

Breakfast and thereafter transfer to the airport for your flight to Nairobi. Upon arrival in Nairobi, connect to your home bound flight or transfer to your hotel in Nairobi.
